Stray dogs have no one to look after them and keep them safe, and when one gets trapped or its life is in danger, no one knows that they even need saving.
And when one stray dog was out searching for food and water one day in Peru, she got her head trapped in a wall and was left to starve in the intense heat for days.
Luckily, however, a few locals spotted the dog, who they later named ‘Nikki’, and immediately got her some water and treats before figuring out how they could free her from the hole in the wall that was just bigger than her neck.
At first, rescuers tried to carefully dig below Nikki’s head with a shovel, but it did nothing to help free her. The locals finally brought out a drill and began working to make the hole in the wall a little bigger, and finally, after hours of work, they managed to set her free totally unharmed.
