First responders make lifesaving rescues practically every single day, so it’s impossible to remember every single person they’ve saved. However, the firefighters from the Asheville Fire Department will never forget the puppy they brought back to life last October.
The North Carolina firefighters responded to a house fire and risked their lives going into the burning home after they heard that a puppy was still trapped inside. They managed to get the unresponsive puppy named Hex out just in time and immediately gave her oxygen, which brought her back to life.
Hex was alive, but still suffered from severe burns and had to be hospitalized for months. Now, Hex has finally recovered from her injuries and to celebrate, the doctors and nurses who helped her heal organized a surprise visit for Hex from her rescuers.
Even after all this time, Hex has never forgotten who saved her and what they did for her. And even though she can’t talk, it was clear she was thanking the firemen when she first saw them and sprinted over with a wagging tail and showered them with kisses.
Watch the entire video below to see the precious moment this puppy was reunited with the firefighters who saved her life.
