After a house in Kazakhstan collapsed with a family inside, neighbors came rushing out to see what had happened and found the two-story family home leveled to the ground.
Knowing that a young couple and their one-year-old baby had been inside, neighbor Ruslan Bakhramov, who is also a member of the national guard, and other people in the area rushed over to the debris and started to dig through the rubble left from the home.
According to police, the home most likely collapsed from after a gas pipeline that ran underneath the home exploded. Unfortunately, when they finally found 28-year-old mom Sabina Ornybaeva, she was already dead. Knowing there was a baby still somewhere inside, the men kept digging for her.
Two hours later, they finally discovered one-year-old Aruzhan laying safely in her crib. According to the men, a wooden stick was lying across the crib, and when a large block of the ceiling fell down, it created a roof and protected her from being crushed by the rest of the debris. And when they started pulling baby Aruzhan out, she started to cry and they figured she must have been injured. Yet when they examined her, they realized she was dirty but otherwise perfectly healthy.
