For the past five years, Louise Edlen has sat in her dining room window waiving at all the passing school children on the bus. Despite having some memory loss, which makes her forget her own daughter’s name, she always remembers to send her greetings.

When the grandmother of 30 disappeared from the window, the kids were heartbroken. When they finally realized she had gotten sick, the kids decided to send her a gift, which ‘meant the world to her.’

Everyday, this school bus full of kids passes Louise’s home. For years, the 93-year-old has sat in her dining room window waving at the kids as they pass by on their way to and from school.

Louise suffered a stroke, which forced her to spend some time in a rehabilitation center. When the kids noticed that she was no longer waiting in the window to waive and found out what had happened, they send along a picture to help her get better.
