If you’ve always wanted to get a tattoo, but could never fully commit to having something tattooed on your skin for life, these new temporary tattoos are the answers to your prayers. These two-week tattoos are changing up the temporary tattoo world, and letting people experience what it’s like to have a tattoo without the commitment.

Tyler and Braden Handley, the Toronto-based co-founders of Inkbox, were inspired by the Embera-Wounaan and Kuna people, who have used the Genipa Americana fruit to decorate their skin for thousands of years. The fruit-derived ink dyes the top layer of your skin black over a 12-hour period, and lasts approximately 15 days before completely fading away. Inkbox tattoos look and feel like the real thing because the ink dyes the top layer of skin, whereas traditional temporary tattoos sit at the surface of the skin.

Rather then sitting in a chair for hours in agony, Inkbox tattoos, which use 100 percent organic fruit ink sourced from the jungles of the Darién Gap, Panama, are painlessly applied with a damp towelette in 10 minutes.

As if these temporary tattoos couldn’t get better, you’ll be happy to know that the Handley brothers plan to donate a percentage of every sale to support the indigenous communities that inspired the company.

Inkbox currently has a Kickstarter campaign that has surpassed the $100,000 goal to allow custom tattoo ordering, and has currently raised $171,466.
