The winter season can be a particularly difficult few months for those struggling to get by because of the bitter cold, and hazardous weather conditions. Many times, the only way the homeless and needy get through winter, is through the kindness of strangers.
One woman named Rebecca Barassa knew how tough the winter can be on the needy, and wanted to do something to make a difference. “I’m hoping it inspires people. I’m hoping that everyone else will kind of pick up and see what I’ve done, and maybe take it into other communities where they know there’s a lot of people who are in need of it,” Barassa explained to FOX.
Barassa left everything from mittens, gloves, socks, scarfs, earmuffs, and knit hats to help people stay warm in the cold.

The note near the donated clothing in Boston Common reads: “I am not lost… If you are stuck out in the cold, please take what you need to keep warm.”
