Humans might not be natural predators of Elephants, yet we are the main reason elephants are considered vulnerable and endangered today with elephant poaching for ivory and habitat destruction.
So when this mother was crossing the road in the Kruger National Park in South Africa with her baby and saw a group of tourists nearby, she was understandably untrusting of the group. Luckily, the tourists were completely harmless and just looking to see a few animals wandering the park, but this careful mom made sure her baby stayed safe.

While crossing the road, the curious baby elephant spotted the car full of camera-holding tourists, and went to investigate the funny humans.
Mom stayed right behind the tiny calf, and when they got a little too close, she nudged her back with her strong trunk and safely guided the adorable baby across the road back into the brush.
