As part of training to get your scuba diving license, you are taught to become part of the underwater environment, and when possible, respectfully interact with the ocean’s creatures. Depending on where you dive, you can expect to see a variety of wildlife from starfish to sharks.
When Gary Grayson visited and dove in the Scilly Isles, a typical dive turned into an extraordinary encounter with a wild- but super friendly-seal.
When Gary Grayson went scuba diving in Scilly Isles, he encountered something extraordinary.
This Atlantic Grey Seal swam up to Grayson, and nudged his hands until he got exactly what he wanted…
Which was a nice chin rub, and pat on the belly.
The adorable seal lounged on his back and swayed along with the current as the diver rubbed his belly.
After the incredible encounter, Grayson gave his partner the diving sign for ‘OK’.
But before they were able to swim away, another friendly seal wanted some attention.
