While no one should expect a Mcdonald’s meal to be world class cuisine, they do have a right to expect the food to be edible, safe, and that there won’t be any mystery objects inside hidden inside.
Kentucky mom Madison Stephens decided to treat herself and her 15-month old son to a meal from McDonald’s and after pulling through the drive-through, she ordered a fish sandwich for herself and a cheeseburger for her son, both of which she expected to be edible.
Madison sat her son down to eat, and as she was about to bite into her own sandwich, she noticed something fell out and fell on top of her son Brody’s burger. When she took a closer look, she realized a worm or maggot had fallen out of her food. “If I hadn’t seen that worm, my son would have eaten that, because it was already on top of his sandwich,” Madison said. “That’s how close he came to eating it.”
Madison immediately uploaded photos of her food to her Facebook and contacted McDonald’s to let them know about the incident. “They have just called me and said since this was a drive thru order there is nothing they can do!!!! They said the most they can do is send me some McDonald’s bucks (like I want to eat there!),” the understandably furious mom wrote in an update to her Facebook post. “I am completely disgusted with this company and how they treat their customers! My family & I will NEVER eat at this place again!”
Now, Madison is sharing her story to warn others of the horrific issue. “That scared me and as a mom. I don’t want another child to have to experience something like that,” she said. “There’s seriously a problem. They need to hire new employees, or the employees need to be trained properly where they know how to handle their foods.”
