After a night of heavy snowfall, most 8-year-old kids can’t wait to get outside to play in the fresh snow and build snowmen, and it looks like 8-year-old pandas aren’t very different.

When zoo keepers from the Toronto Zoo woke up and saw how much snow they had received overnight, they decided to leave one of their most playful pandas, 8-year-old Da Mao, a huge snowman to play with as part of an enrichment program that aims at keeping the zoo’s animals stimulated.

However, they never expected he’d have quite so much fun with his new snow friend. The minute keepers released Da Mao in his exhibit, he ran straight towards his snowy present, and luckily the hilarious moment was caught on the zoo’s security camera.

In the footage, which was an instant hit when the zoo shared it on their Facebook, Da Mao instantly pats and hugs his snowman before climbing on top of it and clumsily falling off. Even after accidentally knocking off its head, the playful panda continues to climb and roll around the remaining mound of snow. “I love that his keepers take the time to give him interesting distractions to encourage him to have an active panda mind and body,” one fan wrote.
