Parents trust that the people who look after their children at daycare or school will protect them like their own and keep them safe.
That is exactly why one New Jersey mom was horrified to find out that her son’s daycare carelessly lost him during a field trip. This past Friday, daycare workers from the First Adventure Day Care Center in New Jersey took the children on a day trip to a park so the kids could get some time to play outside. Unfortunately, when they left to go back to the daycare, they didn’t make sure every child was accounted for and accidentally left Lynda Deshommes’ 18-month-old toddler, Nathaniel, behind.
Thankfully, a mom was at the park with her own children watching them play when she noticed Nathaniel all alone before he could wander off or anything bad happened. Soon after, a daycare worker arrived and tried to grab the toddler back, but Jennifer Ewens decided to call the police since the worker didn’t even know the boy’s name.
Deshommes was contacted shortly after and notified that the daycare had lost her little boy, and while she was furious that the people she trusted to watch her child had been so careless, she was glad that a kindhearted stranger did the right thing and protected her boy in such a dangerous situation.
