When one Ohio couple decided to open their home to a foster child, they made a promise to each other that they wouldn’t turn their backs on the child or children they were assigned.
Even though Ohio couple Christopher and Christina Sanders had five of their own children, they stuck to their promise when they were assigned six siblings because they knew they’d likely be split apart and spend years being moved around to different foster homes.
“We have always loved children and believe all children deserve to be loved,” the couple explained. And this past week, the couple made their commitment to their foster kids legal when they officially adopted the six siblings. Our goal has been to do what we can with what we had, and what we have is a home and a lot of love.”
While it’s easy to see the family is all blood-related, they all love each other as if they were. “She’s the sweetest sister ever and I love her so much,” said Caitlin Sanders about her newly adopted sister Chloe. “We’re all the same in God’s eyes, so the color of anyone’s skin has never had a bearing on any of this,” Christopher Sanders said.
