At some point for many people, birthdays become less of an excuse to celebrate and more of a reminder that you’re getting old.
When Flossie Dickey, a resident at a Washington senior home, turned 110 years old, she was ‘not one bit’ happy about the occasion and being interviewed about it. “How do you think you’d feel if you were 110?” Flossie said to interviewer Nichole Mischke.
During the interview, Flossie was less than thrilled to have a camera in her face, but revealed that she enjoys taking naps whenever she can. “I am tired. I take a nap as many times as I can,” the great-great-grandmother said.
And when asked about the secret of life and the key to longevity, the sassy, whiskey drinking 110-year-old had an unusual answer. “I don’t know, I don’t fight it. I live it,” Flossie said.
