Baby animals rely on their mothers for everything from nourishment to grow big and strong to learning how to survive. Because of this, many baby animals don’t survive for very long without their moms.
Just days after being born, this adorable puppy became an orphan when his mom died and left him to fend for himself, yet without her help, he was extremely vulnerable and it would be a struggle for him to survive those first few weeks.
The puppy’s owner had no idea how to take care of such a tiny animal, but thought that maybe her cat might take him under her wing since she was also a new mom to a litter of kittens.
She placed the weak pup in with the kittens and the cat immediately took the puppy in as her own, and even let him breastfeed just like any of her other babies, and has acted as his adopted mom ever since.
