Firefighters have no idea what they’re going to find when they arrive on the scene but are determined to save as many lives as possible no matter who they find.
So when the DC Fire and EMS arrived at a house fire, they entered the burning home so they could rescue anyone trapped inside. Instead of finding people, the firefighters discovered a 3-year-old dog named Ceasare trapped inside and was barely conscious.
Rather than give up on the dog, the firemen carefully carried the animal outside to safety and started giving it oxygen. Eventually, the traumatized dog began to wake up, however, the firefighters could tell the dog was in critical condition still and needed to get examined properly.
Since there was nothing else they could do for the three-year-old Italian sheepdog, the firemen quickly carried him to a truck and drove him to the Friendship Animal Hospital, where doctors and nurses quickly got to work treating his injuries so he can begin his long road to recovery.
Watch the entire video below to see the incredible moment Ceasare finally sits up on his own after almost dying in the fire.
